ARTIST BIO

     Jiayi Le was born in Suzhou, China in 1996. When Jiayi was a little girl, she dreamed of being an artist.
   In 2018, Jiayi completed a BFA in Landscape Design from Tianjinchengjian University. After graduation, she worked as an assistant designer at the Institute of Architecture Design & Planning of Nanjing University. However, Jiayi felt it was not what she really wanted to do. She returned to school to study for her MA in Illustration from Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in 2019.
     Jiayi focuses on publication illustration and pattern design. She is proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign. And Paint Tool SAI. So most of Jiayi’s work is digital painting.
   She likes Swing Jazz, mystery movies and adventure puzzle games. She finds inspiration in these pastimes. Character design and storyboard is Jiayi’s interest. She loves to immerse herself in the world of illustration.
